Katye Coe is a dance artist based in the UK. She has practiced as a performer, choreographer and teacher since 1994. She is a senior lecturer in Dance at Coventry University (www.coventry.ac.uk/cdare). Current projects include Groundswell and What_Now 2014 at Independent Dance; ‘Way Pieces’, a choreographic commission at Slimbridge WWT through resident artist Alex Howard; ‘Where we are Not’ a research practice with Charlie Morrissey. Katye performs for Joe Moran and Florence Peake. She teaches independently across the UK and internationally. Katye is the founding director of Decoda.
Jodie Davis recently graduated with a BA Honours degree in Dance from De Montfort University. Throughout University, Jodie was a member of In:Transit Dance Theatre company with an additional three company members whereby she transferred her knowledge and interests focussing particularly on the administrative, performative and collaborative approach. In: Transit held performance opportunities in Leicester, Leicester City Depot for the Unearth Festival in March 2012. Jodie is currently working in collaboration with another independent artist on a duet called ‘Assimilation’ which has been performed for the Unearth festival in Leicester, The Curve as part of the University Dance Festival, University open days and ‘Lunch dance bites’ at Embrace Arts. Her degree and training have enabled her to gain experience as an all-round skilled individual, with creative, academic, practical and administrative experiences. Jodie has recently taught at De Montfort University as class demonstrator. Jodie will be working as an intern to support the Decoda team in 2013.
